He began his career working in prestigious law firms in Mexico City, such as Creel Abogados.
Throughout his professional career, he acted as general counsel for large companies and banks, such as Citibank Mexico and Banamex, where he had a successful career for almost 20 years.
In the academic field, he has taught courses at Universidad Iberoamericana, at Universidad de las Americas and Escuela Superior de Ciencias Juridicas.
He has received numerous recognitions for his professional career, including: The Service Excellence Award, granted by John Reed, former Chairman of Citicorp/Citibank; the Latin America Counsel Award for best General Counsel (Commercial), awarded by the International Law Office, and the Association of Corporate Counsel of the United States in 2012, as well as the Academic Excellence Award, from Universidad de las Américas in 1993.
He is a licensed Attorney, having graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana he is an alumnus of Thunderbird School of Global Management, and has taken various certification programs and graduate studies in the Yale School of Management and Harvard Law School in the “Program of Instruction for Lawyers”.
